Diana's Little Bookstore
Books on Windows Programming
You just can't have enough books on Windows programming. I mean it.
No matter how many books you have, you are going to run across some
kind of API reference that isn't documented anywhere except in the
help file on the CD-ROM that doesn't work in your drive any more.
So keep buying those Windows books! Windows may be crappy for software
development, but it's great for the book vendors.

Inside the Registry for Microsoft Windows 95
Gunter Born
I referred to this book and the next one when I wrote my first Windows 95
setup program. Is it better to used canned setup programs or write your
own? I'm not sure. If you try to write your own, you better know what is
going on in the registry. This is a good book. It will help.

Inside the Windows 95 Registry
Ron Petrusha
I read both this book and the previous one when trying to decipher
the registry. Depending on how you look at it, the Windows 95 registry
is either a thing of power and beauty or a gnarled up mess. If you
are going to attempt use the registry (you really should, you know)
then study it and use it to it's full potential. This is a very
helpful resource.
